The entertainment continued, the children could not get enough and the adults were reluctant to leave too. This was an afternoon of utter fantasy and of hospitality few of us have the chance to experience. I know some of you reading this are thinking “so much for a one years old birthday” but knowing this family as I am lucky enough to do, I know they put together this party not so much for Mikey, they know full well he will have no recollection of this day, but because they could. To share their happiness and their joy and give all their family and friends a day we will never forget. I felt so fortunate to have met these people and be considered as a friend, the people who were sitting at my table said the same and I can imagine that the people at the other 40 or so tables also had the same thoughts. As for the children in attendance, they were delirious! And I am certain they will torture their parents when it comes time for their next party and the folks want to take them to ChuckeCheese!
